About the event

On Sunday, January 4, Jason Jonker, the director of Resilient Recovery Ministry, will give a presentation at 9:15 AM, between our Sunday morning services.

Resilient Recovery is a Bible study on addiction, perfect for people who want non-judgmental support. They make it easy to get help because they remember how hard it was to reach out for help the first [or the 20th] time. They make people feel comfortable because they’ve experienced the difficulties. This program works because it is built on the historical Christian practices that promote change. People receive help from God’s Word and the Holy Spirit. Their program is also informed by the latest science on recovery.

Resilient is also an acronym that describes the program:

Rest in Jesus and His Care

Express My Need for Jesus

Seek God’s Presence and Power

Imagine Freedom in Christ

Live Transparently by Owning My Sin

Invite Jesus to Change Me

Exalt Jesus Above All Things

Neutralize Temptation through Meditation on God’s Word

Tell Others What God Has Done for You

Join us on Sunday, January 4, as we learn more about this ministry that is offered by our sister church, Crosswalk Lutheran Church in Laveen, Arizona.
