Wednesday Bible study: Augsburg Confession

Get Bible study guide • Watch streamed video

What do Lutherans believe about God? About sin? About forgiveness? About Baptism and Holy Communion?  About other important articles of the Christian faith?

On June 25, 1530, the Augsburg Confession was presented to Emperor Charles V as a confession of faith of the Lutheran princes. They wished to confess clearly what Christians should believe from Scripture, and they wanted to set themselves apart from other groups and sects that were departing from Scripture.

Sunday Bible Study

The 7 Deadly Sins

Get Bible study guide • Watch streamed video

Greed, lust, gluttony, pride, envy, anger, sloth have been labeled as the seven deadly sins. Our study aims at identifying sin, confessing it, and receiving forgiveness through Jesus' virtue.
We also seek to put into practice a deadly sin's opposite virtue as taught us by Jesus:
generosity, purity, moderation, humility, contentment, self-control, diligence.

Join a pastor on Sunday at 9:15 a.m. for a live, interactive study of this topic.
