God doesn’t just care about what we do with our hands (You shall not steal). He also cares about what we think and what we want (You shall not covet), and he instructs us: “Godliness with contentment is great gain.”  
July 30, 2017 You shall not commit adultery Only when Christ’s selfless love forms the center of a marriage can you say to your spouse, “It’s not about me, all that I have and all that I am, it belongs to you.”   
July 23, 2017 You shall not murder “Murder” is more than physically taking a human life. Jesus points out that the sin of murder extends to hatred, anger, and malicious words. When convicted by the law of our sins, we turn to Jesus for refuge, forgiveness and rest for our souls.

It is also for the sake of your soul and your eternal salvation that God wants you to know his name and call upon it.

April 2, 2017 Do you believe in the Resurrection? “Your brother will rise again” is Jesus’ answer for her. It’s a promise, though the when of that rising is left unspecified. Martha makes it specific: “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”
