The youth group serves high-school-age teens. The group meets on Sunday mornings at 9:15 a.m. in the upstairs classroom for Bible study and discussion. From time to time the youth group sponsors fellowship activities for teens, including hiking, tubing, skating, lock-ins, camps, retreats and the like.
Boy Pioneers and Lutheran Girl Pioneers.
Boys and girls enjoy activities and fun in the Pioneer organizations. Children do activities and crafts, and they learn valuable life skills under the mentoring of responsible adults. Hiking and camping outings help children appreciate God's creation.
Rooted: 20s -30s group.
This is a 20s-30s group to connect WELS Lutherans and their friends from across the Valley. As the group moves forward, it is our goal to gather on a regular basis to study God’s Word and enjoy Christian fellowship.
The ladies' group meets on a routine basis. The ladies serve the Lord through various functions in the church. They take care of preparation and clean-up for Holy Communion, organize fellowship functions, and coordinate many other activities. Participation is open to all women of the congregation. (Ladies' group meetings are not held during the summer months.)
MUMS (Mothers Understanding Mothers)
A new group will be blooming this spring! This group is built around God’s Word, with a focus on encouraging and supporting moms and their young children, birth through Kindergarten. We are currently offering Sunday growth group meetings with childcare, midweek socializing with playdates and devotionals, and occasional MUMS’ night out. The goal is to help moms with little ones feel supported through the early stages of life. They hope to make church and Sunday school a weekly priority for families by personally inviting, providing information on their growth group, and offering various “faith focused” activities for little ones.
Emmanuel's group is especially geared for those who are 55 and older. Along with service projects to the congregation, the group enjoys frequent field trips, potlucks and barbecues. Contact us for the next event.
Choir and music.
The adult choir meets weekly during the school year on Wednesday evenings. Junior choir comprises children in the upper grades of the elementary school. The choirs enhance the worship service with regular anthems and song leadership. Frequent opportunities are also available for instrumentalists, soloists, and ensembles to use their talents to God's glory.
The property committee oversees the general appearance of the property and facilities of Emmanuel. The committee schedules periodic work parties to involve members in clean-up, maintenance, and minor repairs.
Board of Elders.
Elders of the congregation assist the pastors in serving the spiritual needs of the congregation. The elders oversee the doctrine and practice of worship, and they ensure that the teaching and practice of Emmanuel continues to be Bible-based and faithful to the Lutheran confessions.
Board of Education.
The Board of Education oversees the program of Christian education for all ages at Emmanuel, including Sunday school, youth (teen) ministry, campus ministry, and adult education.
Emmanuel Lutheran School Board.
The school board is responsible for operation and oversight of Emmanuel Lutheran School, our elementary school that serves students from Pre-K through 8th grade.
Board of Evangelism.
The Board of Evangelism involves Emmanuel members in outreach activities, such as canvassing, marketing and mailing. The board sponsors periodic events to train and encourage Christians to share their faith with others.
Subcommittees and other organizations.
Numerous other groups and organizations offer opportunities for involvement, service and fellowship. We didn't list all of the subcommittees and specialty groups that allow people to make a difference and serve others. If you're interested in getting involved, and you don't see something listed here, please contact us and let us know how you'd like to serve.
